The UK Vape Tax, Explained

Same Riot prices — tax-free until 1 April 2027

The new UK vape tax (officially the Vaping Products Duty) adds £2.20 to every 10ml of e-liquid from 1 October 2026 — nicotine or 0mg, no exceptions. We saw it coming and over-brewed our best-sellers, so there's no new vape tax on your Riot prices until 1 April 2027. No panic-buying, no price hike — just carry on vaping while the rest of the industry scrambles. Don't be alarmed if you buy non-stamped products during this time, but after April No tax stamp = No sale

The duty is £2.20 per 10ml (VAT on top), so bigger bottles are hit hardest across the industry. We've manufactured more on stocked lines until 1 April 2027 — after that, prices follow the new duty like everyone else.

Vape tax FAQs

£2.20 per 10ml of e-liquid, at a flat rate regardless of nicotine strength, from 1 October 2026. VAT is charged on top of the duty, so the shelf-price rise is slightly more than £2.20 per 10ml.

Yes. The duty covers any liquid intended to be vaporised, so nicotine-free shortfills and 0mg e-liquids are taxed at the same £2.20 per 10ml.

1 October 2026. Retailers can keep selling stock produced or imported before that date (duty-unstamped) up to 31 March 2027, so there's a real window to buy at pre-duty prices.

Not on UK sales from 1 October 2026 — the duty is built into the price and can't be legally avoided. The only legitimate way to pay less is to buy at today's pre-duty prices before it starts.
