THE EPIC BUNGEE CHALLENGE
But that's not all. To celebrate the launch of our new flavours, we decided to take things to the next level - literally. We challenged 5 members of our Riot E-Liquid team to a bungee jump with a twist. Each jumper had to hold onto fruit that represented one of our new flavours. Whoever dropped the most fruit was the loser and had to do the dreaded backward bungee jump.
With fearless determination, our team arrived on location ready to take on the adrenaline-fueled challenge. Greeted by the renowned UK bungee team, we positioned the crane overlooking the stunning lake. Despite a gloomy outlook, the sun shone bright, leaving our team with a radiant glow. Jumpers picked one of the 5 new Bar Edtn flavours from a bucket, which determined the fruit they had to hold onto during the jump. They got one practice jump before taking the leap of a lifetime.
ELLIS - BANANA KIWI ICE
Ellis from our warehouse team was the first to take on the challenge, holding the bananas and kiwi for Banana Kiwi Ice. Despite being a newbie to bungee jumping, Ellis kept his cool and looked unfazed. However, he lost hold of the fruit during his jump, putting him in the running for the dreaded backward bungee.
JAM - LYCHEE WATERMELON
Jam, Riot's content creator, was the most terrified out of all the jumpers but she faced her fear of heights and smashed the bungee. She even jumped before the freefall countdown began. "Don't look down and close your eyes," she revealed. She held onto two melons with ease, securing her win and sparing her from the terrifying forfeit.
EMILY - PINEAPPLE ICE
Emily our freelance marketing consultant was the most cocky at the start as she had jumped before, but when push come to shove she was sh*tting herself. Despite her initial fear and with a lot of F* bombs, she rose to the challenge and nailed the bungee. Unfortunately, her fruit-throwing skills were less impressive - when she threw a pineapple for a test run from the bungee cage from 300 ft up and it came inches away from killing Cat and Jam. So to keep Emily out of prison and for everyone’s safety, we banned her from doing the fruit jump.
BASIL - APPLE & BLACKCURRANT
Basil, who is a part of our social media team, may have started out as a worrier but he proved his courage with an epic bungee jump. Sure, he lost a shoe on the way down and we had to fish it out of the lake, but that didn't phase him. After acing the first jump, he fearlessly took on the fruit challenge and held onto most of the apples like a pro. Basil passed the bungee challenge and faced his fears head-on.
WILL - BLUE CHERRY BURST
The last jumper was Will, a member of our Tik Tok team. He was cool as a cucumber and totally owned the jump. With barely a second thought, he hurled himself off the platform and soared through the air like a majestic bird. Will held onto most of his cherries and blueberries, proving that he's not just a social media whiz - he's also got some serious bungee skills. The challenge didn't stand a chance against him!
SO… WHO LOST?
DRUM ROLL PLEASE... and the loser of the challenge is Ellis! Emily was banned from the fruit jump, so Ellis agreed to do the backward jump. He took one for the team, so a big shout-out to him!
On another note, let's give a round of applause to Jam, our superstar of the day. Due to technical difficulties, she had to jump not once, not twice, but THREE times!
