What is Stoptober?
Stoptober is the most popular month of the year for people to finally quit smoking. It is a national campaign initiated by Public Health England and has been around for quite some time now. It's inspired by stats that show those who stop smoking for 28 days or more are 5x more likely to quit for good. Whether you want your fresh breath back, to live a healthier lifestyle or to get rid of your yellow fingernails and teeth, Stoptober gives smokers the perfect opportunity to join thousands of people in their attempt at quitting smoking!

Since it is Stoptober and people are trying to kick the habit, it’s only right for them to be presented with the best quit smoking tool for a higher chance of success. There are plenty of quitting tools out there that are presented to people but a lot of them never really deliver the promise they’re advertised to. Nicotine patches, inhalers and gums all have a poor success rate of converting smokers. The most ideal quitting method but also the HARDEST to do and nearly impossible for seasoned smokers is cold turkey. It is the best advised method by healthcare professionals but is also very hardcore. When smokers can't do cold turkey, do you know what the most successful method after that is? E-cigarettes/vaping!
The official report on nicotine vaping in England for 2022 has been released just in time for Stoptober and addresses a lot of myths and misconceptions around vaping vs smoking. To keep it short and sweet, as the UK government has previously stated in their 2015 report, vaping still only poses only a small fraction of the risk of smoking and is at least 95% less harmful than smoking (that is, smoking is at least 20 times more harmful to users than vaping).

Step 1 - Rip up the rule book: It’s time to be fearless & forget everything you’ve ever heard about quitting smoking. Go at your own pace and on your own terms.
Step 2 - Identify your triggers: Identify the triggers that make you want to smoke a cigarette. Be brave and face them head on and if you can get through them without smoking, you can get through anything!
Step 3 - Only smoke when you need to: Cut your cigarette intake and use your Riot Bar whenever you aren’t able to smoke. Without realising, your cigarette intake will be next to nothing, or even better; non-existent.
Step 4 - The rest is easy: Once you’ve succeeded at facing your triggers smoke free and reduced your cigarette intake. The rest is easy. You’ve got this! This is by no means over, it is the start of your journey of quitting, but the hard part is out of the way. Go celebrate, treat yourself, try something new or do something you wouldn’t have done before.
The Journey isn’t over yet
You’ve done it! You have made the switch from smoking to vaping and have completely stopped yourself from buying any more of those little death sticks. Ahead of you now is another quitting journey but don't worry, it's a much simpler and easier one.

At this point, you can say you have killed any signs of tobacco in your life but you still got a much easier & simpler fight ahead to reduce your nicotine intake. Nicotine reduction is a process that you have full control over. It is your journey so you should go at the pace you think is best for you. If you’re a seasoned smoker, we would recommend starting at 20mg and working your way down. 20mg - 10mg - 0mg and then eventually not vape at all.
