Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for the collections and movement of goods, prepare and retain paperwork for all shipments including customs declarations, certificates of origin etc.
• Collaborate with the Sales, Production & Warehousing teams to ensure accurate delivery in line with customer commitments.
• Coordinate production workflow with the Production Manager.
• Create quarterly and yearly strategies to constantly improve the production and warehousing aspects of the business.
• Constantly seek updates to new legislation regarding shipping for imports and exports.
• Research and implement new logistics solutions to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Develop and manage KPI’s for Production and the Warehouse, creating reports and identify any issues that may arise.
• Assist with recruiting and inducting staff.
• Work closely with the Warehouse team to manage stock using the WMS & ERP system.
• Management of inventory and assessing raw materials needed, in line with the production schedule
• Create and revise the Standard Operating Procedures for the production and logistics and functions.

Skills & Experience

• Degree holder or equivalent in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Logistics and planning management experience 5+ years.
• Experienced using Freight Forwarding Software.
• Customs & HMRC experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proven track record of improving efficiency.
• Commercially astute.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience managing teams and KPI’s.
• Expertise in implementing an ERP driven WMS system
• A high level of organisational and planning skills.
• Advanced IT Skills in systems, Microsoft Office and/or Google Sheets, Docs etc.
• Excellent communication - both verbal and written.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
